Off to camp!

It rained most of the night and we woke up and made breakfast.  After throwing a few last minute things together, we got Jude’s trunk in the truck and headed to Black Mountain - about a 20 minute drive.  We saw some of the remaining damage from Hurricane Helene - it was so sad to see the destruction!

Camp drop off was really smooth.  Jude is at the older kids section this year, so there wasn’t as much hoopla at drop off.  We sort of hugged him and were sent on our way.

Back at the camper, we used the morning as a time to get more organized.  Everything was a wreck because we threw so much in at the last minute.  Today I put everything on the bed and reorganized our closet - all while doing a load of laundry - what a luxury!

We are lunch and Pradit and I took a short hike while Charlie was attempting a nap.  No success there, so we may just get out and explore Asheville a bit for the evening.

We met another Brinkley owner at the campground - they’re heading on a caravan to Alaska!  They’re from Connecticut so it’s quite a haul!  We love meeting new people while we’re out on the road.
