Celestino

We went from Mazatlan to Celestino. It’s a small village with an RV park near the beach. We have full hook ups and are all lined up like a family of ducks.

There’s a palapa (beach hut) near the beach where our group gathers to hang out. The owner of the campground, Noah, is an incredible guy. His English is excellent and his passion and energy are contagious. He is constantly joking and having a good time. On the first night, he organized some friends to come make shrimp burritos with potatoes and onions. They were delicious!

Today has been a laid back, low key day. We started the morning out with a trip to the beach. Buster used to be terrified of the waves, but now he jumps them with gusto!  We actually have a water dog now!  He and Blu played for an hour or more while Lucy and Jude jumped the waves and Pradit threw a ball to the dogs.  We finally got tired and cold and moved on to the pool.

Our friend’s Fred and Cheryl hung their two hammocks on the palm trees and I read my book and took a nap - until Buster woke me by laying his head on my arm. He is such a sweet boy.

One of our caramates arranged to have a bushel of oysters delivered and shucked so Pradit tried his first raw oyster.  He enjoyed them!

We cooked burgers on the Blackstone Griddle and had a lovely dinner with our friends, Peter and Cathy. Now the kids are watching a movie and we are reading our books - a full day!  I think we will all sleep well tonight!
