Venturing out in OKC

We drove past the National Memorial honoring those affected by the 1995 bombing of the OKC federal building. It is a beautiful monument - there is a chair to represent each life lost and the Survivor Tree stands strong.

Next we drove past the Thunder’s Basketball Arena.  The Bricktown area was really neat - there is a river walk area that would be fun to explore in warmer weather. We ended up at Bass Pro Shop because we realized that we didn’t have a frying pan. Buster loved watching the fish - but was a little unnerved about the wall of glass.

Back to the camper for a grilled cheese and soup lunch!

The rest of the day was very relaxing.  Stu, Buster and Pradit watched the football game, Lucy read and Jude and I played games in the campground lounge area -- foosball, ping pong, Sorry and Headbandz.  Stu cooked up some chicken, broccoli and mashed potatoes for dinner and we lounged for the rest of the evening - and read a bit more of The Life of Pi for Pradit's school assignment.  Tomorrow we venture to Amarillo, TX.
