Getting down to the Wire
We are leaving for our caravan to Mexico in four days! The last few weeks have been very busy -- after our shake down trip to Charleston, we came home and discovered that the connector on our solar "brain" had cracked and the read out display was no longer working. We also had a snafu when we were winterizing and we burned up our water pump. Thankfully, Amazon came to the rescue and both parts arrived in time to fix before our departure date! We also learned to put more antifreeze in the macerator toilet, as it holds a small amount of water all the time - which froze in our KC winter temps. We learned our lesson after popping two fuzes and put a space heater in the bathroom (and more antifreeze in the toilet) to keep that problem from cropping up again. I'll have to say -- we have learned a lot about RV systems in our 8 years of Airstreaming! There is always more to learn and we are grateful for each new lesson. It also boosts our confidence as we "conquer" new systems.
