Turnkey Camping

  We headed to Charleston for Christmas to be with Stu's family.  We thought it would be the perfect place to test out all of the changes we made to the trailer and truck before Mexico.  The Airstream lived so nicely for the week!  We had 30 amp power but were able to do just fine with our holding tanks.  I took notes constantly about little tweaks we need to make before our trip - and kept track of things we didn't use or things we forgot.  It should be really helpful!  It's hard to believe that we will be setting out before we know it.  Tonight we're at Soaring Eagle Campground outside of Knoxville, TN.  Tomorrow we'll trek home.  We leave KC again on January 14th.  So exciting!!

We have had lots of help in getting ready for the big adventure!  Last weekend, our neighbor and another friend came over and helped with truck details. We installed the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, the radio for the caravan drives, and anchored the spare tire on the roof rack. The Bougie Zombie (the truck’s new name) is looking prepared for Mexico!  We have one more shake down cruise to go (Charleston) and then we’ll be counting down the days to the BIG trip!
